Bolting More Bull

Steve A., author of DFW Point to Point, is a frequent commenter on Carbon Trace and a frequent pointer-outer than I bolt lots of stuff to my bicycle 🙂 Well, I’ve now bolted something else to it — an AXA Defender locking system with integrated chain.

I’m liking it.

In other equipment news, the ol’ Redline needed new tires. Purchased yesterday.

The Kona should be here soon. Will write about it as soon as I’ve had a chance to ride it around a bit.

Sometimes you need a heavy bike! My original wheel used to break spokes everytime I used this trailer. Now my bike weighs over 40 pounds but doesnt lay down and die on me anymore.

This is “pre-rohloff” when I moved a few years back. For my latest move (to chicago) I used a truck. ; )

Anyway, my point is that I think Andy should embrace weight. He is a utility cyclists after all, with dreams of living without a car. That means he will need some serious carrying capacity.
