The latest film by Carbon Trace Productions — Witness At Tornillo — will premiere on 23 October at the UA Court Street Theater in the New York City borough of Brooklyn.

About the film: One man from Brooklyn sits alone in the West Texas desert, compelled to witness the horrors of family separation and child detention on the US southern border. His goal is to shut down this American internment camp and free these kids. Knowing he cannot succeed alone, he’s forced to ask himself, “How can one man spur this sleeping nation to act?” Witness at Tornillo follows Josh Rubin, an activist who has become a fixture of the #FamiliesBelongTogether protests. His actions drew national attention to the facility and started a trend in a particular form of protest – the “radical act of seeing.” Rubin has been featured by the Washington Post, the New York Times, and HBO’s Vice news. He is still working to shut down these facilities.
