The Carbon Trace Productions documentary team will travel to Vietnam in March to film a story about former U.S. Marines and Navy Corpsmen returning to Hill 50 where they fought soldiers of the North Vietnamese Army as part of Operation Utah in 1966. Their journey will include visiting the battle field, meeting with NVA soldiers who fought against them on Hill 50, and visiting a rural school where U.S. Marines have been doing charitable work through the years — the little-told story of work that follows from humanitarian service to villagers in South Vietnam during the war. For all but one of the seven soldiers traveling in March, this is their first trip back since the war.
